Inspired by the etched Carnelian beads of the Indus Valley civilization, their vibrant colours and distinctive patterns, this collection is an attempt at replicating the past in paper.
This statement asymmetrical pair of earrings is composed of paper beads made by meticulously rolling paper into tube beads in deep red and beige and cone beads in antique gold.
The paper beads are coated with a sealant to make them sturdy and water resistant, while preserving the natural color and texture of paper.
The dangles hang from naturally oxidized sterling silver ear wires.
The paper beads are protected using a sealant which allows the jewelry to be sweat and splash proof. However, they should not be immersed in water. Read detailed care instructions here.
